The purpose of Need-Based Aid is to support students who face financial challenges in affording their education at LCC International University. The program is designed not to cover the full cost of tuition but to make education more accessible for students and their families. Aid decisions are based on a combination of the student’s financial need, academic performance, and the availability of institutional funds.
LCC offers three types of NEED-BASED AID:
- LCC Need-Based Aid
- Global Grant
- Middle East Scholar Aid (only current scholarship recipients are eligible to reapply)

NEED-BASED AID RANGES
As of Fall 2026 semester, applications are submitted at the following stages:
- Prospective students apply for Need-Based Aid before admission to LCC for their Freshmen & Sophomore years of studies.
- In their Sophomore year, students apply for Need-Based Aid for their Junior & Senior years.
- Students who do not apply as prospective students or during their Sophomore year may still apply during their Freshman or Junior years for aid covering one academic year only.
The amount of Need-Based Aid may increase or decrease with each application, depending on changes in a family’s financial circumstances and the availability of institutional funds. The most common reasons for award revisions include family financial challenges such as a loss of income, emergency expenses, or a significant shortfall in student summer savings.
The aid typically ranges from 10% to 80% of tuition, and the maximum amount a student can receive has predefined limits based on their university year:
- Freshmen & Sophomore – maximum financial aid a student can receive is 80% of tuition;
- Junior & Senior – maximum financial aid a student can receive is 60% of tuition.
Need-Based Aid recipients are awarded according to the following criteria:
- Financial need
- Academic performance
- Availability of funds
