Resident Directors Resident Directors (RDs) are professional staff members who reside on campus and oversee the Residence Halls. They ensure discipline and proper use of the facilities as well as organize various educational and social events.  Their offices are located in the residence halls and they have office hours for you to ask questions

Professional Staff

The Housing Coordinator is in charge of allocating students to rooms and associated rental fees.
The Front desk manager oversees the front desk and other operational aspects of the building, such as keys and storage.
Receptionists are students who are hired to operate the front desk and monitor access to the halls 8:00 – 22:00.  They can provide information, provide access to common spaces and connect you with resources.
Night Guards are local Lithuanian staff who are
hired to operate the Enns front desk and monitor access to the halls 22:00-8:00.  They have limited English skills but can connect you with resources.
Security Guards – one security guard from Argus security sits at Neumann Hall from 22:00 – 8:00 to be able to respond quickly to emergencies and threats
Resident AssistantsResident Assistants (RAs) are student leaders who live on the floors with students and serve as a resource to residents: organize events on floors, maintain university values, and foster a positive atmosphere and learning community.

Move-in Guide

Arrival

All check-ins will occur in Neumann Hall lobby beginning at 10:00 AM.

We ask all students to arrive before 22:00.

First year students can arrive the Wednesday prior to orientation.
Returning Students can begin arriving the Saturday prior to the start of school.

Early Arrival

  • Student leaders can arrive up to three days prior to start of training, but must fill out early arrival request form on Erezlife.  
  • While we strive to accommodate all requests, all early arrivals are subject to availability. If at all possible, students should not arrive prior to their check-in date. Wait until the Housing Coordinator confirms there is a space for you. Arriving without advance notice may result in either a 15 EUR fine and rejection of housing.
  • All approved early arrivals (non-training) are subject to daily rate.
  • Arrivals prior to August 19 are considered summer housing and will need to pay the full monthly price. (August housing subject to availability).

Late Arrival

  • Students planning to arrive after the official check-in time but outside of the designated times will be accommodated but may need to return during a designated check-in time to complete the process.
  • Students who will arrive after the first day of school need to inform the Housing Coordinator (housing@lcc.lt) and have approval from the Registrar via their Late Arrival Request form.

Packing list

  • Bed sheets, pillow(s), blanket, pillow and blanket cases, alarm clock (you may also rent a linen set on site for a fee).
  • Towels and washcloths, bathrobe, shower shoes, toiletries (shampoo, soap, shaving cream, hand lotion, toothbrush, etc.), hair dryer
  • Laundry hamper (and detergent), hangers, seasonal clothing, athletic clothing, umbrella, boots for wet weather
  • First-aid kit and prescription medication, sewing kit, flashlight, small tool kit
  • Personal computer, power cord, LAN cord, calculator, desk lamp, musical instruments (please be considerate of roommates and others on hall), national costumes or apparel
  • Cooking & cleaning: plates, cups, bowls, utensils, pots, skillet, kettle, rags, cleaning detergents to wash floors in the room, toilet bowl cleaner, etc.
  • Family photos, decorations

Do not Bring:

  • Basic furniture (bed, dresser, desk etc.)
  • Duct Tape, you won’t be able to use it to hang up anything in your room. Painter’s tape or sticky gum only
  • Hot plates, microwaves, pets, weapons, candles, incense, toasters, ovens, and grills (fire hazard).
  • Large Speakers
  • Alcohol

About the Residence Halls

LCC has two Residence Halls on campus constructed in 2007 & 2011 where most of our students coming from more than 60 countries reside during the academic year.  It is a home away from home – a community where each person is valued, respected and safety is a priority. In order for this to happen, everyone must help to create an atmosphere where we can live, study and have fun together.  

Neumann Hall

Neumann Hall is a 6 story building that houses up to 258 students. It has 10 floor communities; each floor with 5 rooms surrounding a lounge kitchen.  Each room houses 4-6 people with a shared common entryway, a private WC and shower, a food storage area and a refrigerator.  The bedroom areas are furnished with bunk beds, desks, chairs and cabinets for each student.  A multi-purpose lounge has a community kitchen: a big gathering space where most events happen.

The Neumann Lobby is also a common event area with a lot of space to study, ping pong table for recreation, and comfortable chairs and couches.

Enns Hall

Enns Hall is home to up to 140 students and hosts 4 floors of student rooms with a large kitchen lounge space on each floor. Rooms in Enns Hall house between 4 – 6 people with a shared common entryway, a private WC and shower, a food storage area and refrigerator.  The bedroom areas are furnished with bunk beds, desks, chairs and shelves for each student.

Guide to Common Spaces, Reservable Spaces, and Services

Residents are free to use both Neumann and Enns Hall spaces. Some of the spaces are walk-in, and some can be reserved. (Spaces that are reservable are marked on the door). You can reserve a room at reception.

Reception

Each residence hall has a reception desk. Receptionists greet visitors, answer phones, call the On-Call RA or RD for emergencies or questions, receive tasks given by their supervisor, check out keys and provide basic information about campus facilities and services.  If you wish to reserve a study space, ask the receptionists.

Laundry

Our laundry rooms have washers and dryers that are free for our residents to use.


Located on 1st floor of Neumann or 3rd floor of Enns. Please Maximize loads, and clean lint traps. Pick up your laundry right away and do not stop other people’s cycle.

Put items from finished load in bins if you need a machine, and check the bins if you cannot find your laundry.

Resident Responsibilities

Kitchen Duty

Each night, RAs on duty check kitchen duty. If you do not pass kitchen duty you will receive a slip on your door, asking you to complete the missed items and send pictures to your RD by 12:00 the next day. The first time you miss kitchen duty it is a warning. The second time (or if you fail to send pictures on time) you will be assigned extra days. 2 or more missed kitchen duties will have additional consequences.

As a resident, you are responsible for completing kitchen duty when you are assigned (about once per month). Kitchen duty must be complete by 22:00. Your assigned day will be posted on a calendar near the kitchen door. Complete all tasks listed on the calendar.

Room Inspections

Your Room will be inspected twice a month. The shared spaces in your room (sinks, fridge, WC, shower) will be checked both times, your individual Area will be checked once.

At the beginning of the year, you and your roommates will fill out a schedule of cleaning the shared spaces.

If you fail your room inspection more than once, you may face additional consequences.
